Helen found her way back into her love of writing and reading during her postgraduate years, as she struggled to find a sense of community and acceptance, and rediscover herself.  As such, Helen’s aim is to craft stories with queer characters that she hopes readers can see a bit of themselves in, whether they are striking a deal with a manipulative god, falling in love for the first (or second) time, or bravely embarking into the unknown, despite their fears.

When not writing or reading, Helen can be found outside or watching hockey (Go Kraken)! As an enjoyer of long walks in nature, she longs to relocate back to the Pacific Northwest with her spouse.

Helen is a graduate of the United States Military Academy, with a bachelor’s in international history. While at the academy, she served as assistant editor of the West Point Historical Review in 2019—a selection of papers and theses written by students from multiple universities.
